Role summary

The Social Media Coordinator supports TeamZoro's day-to-day social media operations by helping plan, organize, schedule, and monitor publishing activity. This role keeps social workflows orderly and helps ensure communication stays timely, accurate, and aligned with broader marketing priorities.

This role suits someone who is highly organized, comfortable with daily publishing routines, and able to communicate clearly in a fast-moving environment. The role requires careful follow-through, editorial awareness, and the ability to support multiple content timelines at once.

Compensation

LKR 55,000 - LKR 75,000 / month

Compensation is shared for transparency and is reviewed alongside scope, level, and location alignment during hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Support social content scheduling, publishing coordination, and post status tracking across active channels.
  • Maintain calendar updates, publishing checklists, and coordination with content and design contributors.
  • Track content readiness, approvals, and platform-specific adjustments before publication.
  • Monitor engagement trends and flag questions, issues, or opportunities for follow-up.
  • Support the preparation of simple performance updates and publishing summaries.
  • Help maintain consistency in tone, timing, and channel discipline across the social calendar.

Required qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, media, or a related discipline.
  • 1+ year of experience in social media coordination, content operations, or related communication roles.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort with recurring workflow management.
  • Attention to detail and responsiveness under deadlines.

Preferred experience

  • Experience with social scheduling tools, editorial trackers, or campaign coordination.
  • Exposure to community engagement, reporting, or content publishing operations.
  • Working knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil in addition to English.
  • Interest in digital brands, platform communication, and audience engagement.
